Downloading a language

Mnoria transcribes on your iPhone, so each language is downloaded once. Go to Settings › Transcription Language, choose it and tap Download.

Summaries and Ask Mnoria

Summaries, automatic titles, Mentioned Dates and Addresses, and Ask Mnoria use Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. They need iPhone 15 Pro or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on in the Settings app. Recording, transcription, notes, Moments, exporting and Apple Watch work on every iPhone.

Taking notes

While recording, tap Note to write what matters. The summary starts with your notes and what was said at that moment. You can edit them later in the Notes tab, then tap Rewrite Summary with Your Notes.

Mentioned dates and addresses

Dates and street addresses said in a recording appear at the end of its summary. Tap Add to put a date in your calendar, or Maps to open an address. Swipe one away if you don’t need it.

To use Fantastical, Google Calendar, Google Maps or Waze instead, go to Settings › Calendar & Maps. If one of them opens without the details the first time, tap again.

Using your calendar events

Turn on Use Calendar Events in Settings › Calendar & Maps. When you record during a meeting in your calendar, the recording is named after it, and the summary spells people’s names right. Mnoria only reads that one event, on your iPhone, and never changes your calendar.

A recording in another language

If a recording doesn’t sound like the language you chose, Mnoria tells you. Tap Choose Language to transcribe it again.

Recording on Apple Watch

Recordings made on Apple Watch go to your iPhone on their own. Open Mnoria on your iPhone to transcribe and summarize them.

Finding a recording from iPhone search

Swipe down on the Home Screen and type a few words from a recording. To turn this off, open the Settings app, tap Search, then Mnoria.

Sharing audio and video to Mnoria

In another app, tap Share on an audio or video file, then tap Mnoria. It’s added the next time you open Mnoria. This works with apps that share the file itself, like Voice Memos, Files, Photos, Mail, Messages, Google Drive, Dropbox, Telegram and Slack. Apps like Instagram, TikTok and YouTube share a link instead, so Mnoria doesn’t appear there.

Exporting

Open a recording, tap the menu, then Export. Choose the summary, transcript or notes as PDF, Word, rich text, Markdown or plain text, or export the audio.

Subscription and free trial

Mnoria starts with a free week, then renews monthly or yearly unless you cancel. Manage it in Mnoria’s Settings › Subscription. On a new iPhone, tap Restore Purchases. If your subscription ends, your recordings stay, and you can still play and export them.

Moving to a new iPhone

Your recordings are part of your iPhone’s backup. Restore your new iPhone from it, and they come along.

Privacy

Your recordings stay private, right on your iPhone. Read the full Privacy Policy.
